Precision bass fretboard

OK, now you have nice instruments to have fun with but you still don't have a clue as to how to play.

One nice thing with bass compared to guitar (with more strings) is that there are really cool guys who post very helpful tutorial videos on the web. These include MarloweDK and Scott Devine. Both of them also run websites with much additional material. MarloweDK's one PlayBassNow.com is mostly free although you need to register. Scott Devine's one is called Scott's Bass Lessons and you can't really see anything unless you register.

Here are some videos I enjoyed

  • Double Your Speed (Scott Devine) 1/1
  • Right hand technique for Bass (Raking & Alternate plucking) (Scott Devine) 1/1
  • Ghost Notes (Scott Devine) 1/2 | 2/2
  • Practicing the Major scale - tips and tetrachords for bass (MarloweDK) 1/3 | 2/3 | 3/3
  • Pentatonic scale - the 5 positions on bass (MarloweDK) 1/2 | 2/2
  • Getting to know the fretboard of the bass guitar (MarloweDK) : 1/2 | 2/2
